First brazilian wax, back wax, pregnancy, ingrown hairs, can I get waxed on my period?
it's all here...
Do I really get 50% off my first wax?
Yes! You get 50% off your first hair removal service. Must mention at checkout and be a local resident. If you book multiple wax services, we take 50% off the most expensive service and the rest of the services are standard price. For example, if you book a Brazilian Wax and a Brow Wax you'll receive 50% off the Brazilian Wax and pay full price for the Brow Wax. Or if you book a Brow and Lip Wax, you'll receive 50% off your Brows. Full Face Wax will also be broken up in this manner.
How long does my hair need to be to wax?
Approximately 2 weeks without shaving or about 1/4th inch in length for best results for most areas of the body, including the Brazilian Wax. Men's Back Wax and Leg Wax, I typically suggest a longer grow-out of 3-4 weeks without shaving, but it's not a deal breaker.
How often do I need to get a wax to keep up on it?
About every 3 - 6 weeks depending on the body waxing area. Most Brazilian Wax clients come every 4 weeks. Men's Back Wax clients about every 6 weeks. Brow Wax about every 3 weeks.
Does waxing make my hair grow back thinner?
Yes, over time removing the hair from the root will result in your body’s response to produce less hair. This is why people who over tweezed their brows in the 90s are seeing minimal regrowth.
Does a Brazilian Wax hurt?
It’s not a massage, but it’s very tolerable and I'm very thorough, and quick. Everyday, people tell me it's the least painful Brazilian Wax they've ever had. I've done hair removal services with sugar and other various types of waxes and found my formula to be the best in the business.
Does a Back Wax hurt?
Guys, you got this!
I have really thick ethnic hair, can you wax me? Can you do a Brazilian Wax?
Yes! I can wax any hair type without breaking a sweat. Everyone's skin tone and hair type is welcome here.
Can I get waxed, especially a Brazilian Wax, on my period?
Yes, just wear a tampon or cup. I always joke that if we moved appointments for Aunt Flow we would not have a business.
Do I need to trim before coming in for a Brazilian Wax? Can the hair be too long for a Brazilian Wax?
No, please do not trim, it can never be too long, but can be too short. Trimming actually makes the Brazilian Wax service more difficult for the aesthetician, and you too.
Do I need to do anything prior to my Brazilian Wax?
Honestly no, just show up with the right length of hair.
What can I expect post Brazilian Wax?
After your Brazilian Wax, you need to be extra clean, so if you have sex, workout, go in a hot tub, etc., please clean up right after! Your pores are open and susceptible to bacteria for about 24 hrs post waxing. Beyond that, you want to exfoliate regularly. I recommend dry brushing or an exfoliating serum, both sold here.
Do you charge less if I don’t have a lot of hair?
No. Think of it this way, whether there are 25 hairs or 100 hairs in a zone, it still takes the same amount of wax, sticks, and strips to spread over the area and lift the hairs out. Some people have a lot of hair that lifts easily and some ppl have less hair that is stubborn and takes more time. A pair of jeans that’s a size 2 or a size 10 cost the same amount and same goes for here.
Do you offer a touch up price for Bikini or Brazilian Wax?
No, for the same reasons I don’t set prices based on ease of service or hair amounts. It always becomes a point of conflict as some people have the same growth in 3 weeks versus 8 weeks and the line of “touch up” is always in question.
Do you do Manzilians aka Brazilian Wax on men?
No, I do not wax any male external genitalia. Unfortunately, too many negative experiences led to this decision and there’s no way to screen or set a boundary other than not offering the service all together, no exceptions. This decision was made for my personal health and safety. If you're interested in this service, check out our neighbor, Menscape!
I’m prone to ingrown hairs, will waxing help?
In my experience, people are either prone or not to ingrown hairs. Waxing can help, especially over shaving, because you’re not creating a sharp tip for the hair to poke back into the skin like you do with shaving. Waxing along with solid at home care is highly important when dealing with ingrown hairs.
What’s the difference between wax and sugaring?
Honestly, not too much! They are both sticky substances that are warmed up and used to stick to your hairs enough to lift them out. One is not more organic or natural or less wasteful than the other. I've been an aesthetician for a long time and have used hard wax, sugar, and soft wax. I’ve found the best results for all skin types and hair types is with my wax. I also do a natural sunflower oil base prep so the wax doesn’t stick to your skin and pull on it like other methods, making it more painful. The Lemon Drop’s wax also doesn’t hurt at all during the application process, unlike sugar. All Brazilian Wax services here are done with this wax because it's the fastest and least painful method I've ever used.
Will my hair grow back slower or faster with wax compared to other methods?
Your body has no clue what is used to remove your hair so as long as you're removing the hair from the root, it cannot possibly grow back faster or slower depending on the product. It’s just physiologically impossible. Your hair comes back “quicker” when shaving because you're cutting it from the surface and not pulling it out from the root.
Is waxing hurt as clean as sugaring?
Yes, if not more, honestly. Neither is more sustainable or wasteful than the other. They are both biodegradable.
Does soft wax hurt as much as other waxes and products for hair removal?
NO! This is a huge misconception. Soft Wax, used here, is the least painful Brazilian Wax experience ever. I promise. I've used it all and been highly trained in every method.
